This week Mark Milligan, Head of Delivery, visited Larkhill Eventing to celebrate the completion of the SVGC water complex. The build of a major water jump has been an aspiration for Larkhill Eventing for over a decade and thanks to SVGC’s Strategic Sponsorship has now come to fruition!
The new site is almost four times the size of the previous water jump and features banks suitable for all levels of horse and rider, with plenty of space around for inviting fences and more technical lines. Larkhill prides itself in developing the course for everyone – so horses and riders can progress to the next level or simply have fun! We can’t wait to see the first horses go through the water at the Larkhill BE in April.
Larkhill Eventing and Racecourse is acknowledged as a significant Community Sporting venue by Wiltshire Council and the UK Ministry of Defence and raises funds for various charities, including the Army Benevolent Fund– SSAFA the Armed Forces charity and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
As SVGC was founded by military personnel, we will always retain a link to, and honour the role of the Armed Forces. Our Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award is recognition of this, and we couldn’t be happier to see our funding help develop this valuable service within our local armed forces community.
