Strengthening collaboration across defence and security to deliver agile, scalable capability for the UK public sector
SVGC is pleased to announce that it has been formally selected as a partner within Spearhead, the new UK Sovereign SME Collective designed to bring together specialist small and medium-sized enterprises to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions across defence, security, and critical public sector programmes.
Spearhead has been established to address the UK’s growing need for adaptable, sovereign capability by connecting trusted SMEs with deep domain expertise and complementary skillsets. The collective operates as a “cluster of clusters”, enabling members to collaborate more effectively, scale delivery, and respond rapidly to complex national requirements.
SVGC’s inclusion in the partnership recognises its long-standing expertise supporting government and defence clients, particularly in data management, secure digital services, information assurance, and engineering-led delivery. As part of Spearhead, SVGC will lead the Engineering Pillar, defining, coordinating and shaping collaborative delivery approaches across the ecosystem.

The formation of Spearhead reflects a wider shift in how government and defence programmes are delivered, with increasing emphasis on interoperability, resilience, and sovereign capability.
