On Thursday 20th October, Managing Director, Dr Andrew Dixon and Technical Project Manager, Rachael Winterbottom collected the award for “Using Tech to Transform Business” on behalf of SVGC at The Wiltshire Techie Awards hosted by The Business Exchange South West.
We’re thrilled to have received the award in recognition of our work with FCDO Services creating digital solutions using machine learning and AI for the FCDO Digital Sensitivity Review.
On winning the award SVGC Managing Director, Dr Andrew Dixon said:
“SVGC operates across the UK but Wiltshire has been our home for over 20 years, so it feels great to be recognised in these regional awards. As a small business, we are delighted to have this opportunity to shine a light on the amazing things that go on in the South West.
In 2021 we launched SVGC Digital, our digital solutions and data science centre of excellence to bring innovative technologies and data enabled decision-making to the public sector. Utilising our continually expanding base of digital expertise, we are able to provide novel approaches and state of the art technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning and bespoke solution development.
We take such pride in our work because our business was founded by former military staff focussed on supporting the public sector to make great decisions, and we have continued to do that since the company was formed in 1997. The end result means benefits such as saving money for the public sector, improving public services and increasing public safety.
It is brilliant for the team to be recognised for the amazing work they do and the hours they put in. This award is the icing on the cake – recognition that our regional peers understand and recognise the impact of our work.”
